Network software company Untangle acquires Intel-backed Cymphonix Corporation and pursues further acquisitions.
Untangle, a US-based network software and appliance company which provides unified threat management for network administrators and IT decision-makers, has acquired US-based peer Cymphonix Corporation, a network management IT company which aims to help organizations diagnose and resolve internet usage challenges. Cymphonix was founded in 2004 and backed by Intel Capital, the strategic investment arm of microprocessor maker Intel. The terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
