Recruit-backed holiday home rental platform Tripping has pocketed $35m in fresh funding from a consortium led by investment firm Princeville Global.

Tripping, a US-based holiday home rental platform backed by human resources firm Recruit Holdings, secured $35m in a series C round on Wednesday led by investment firm Princeville Global.

Private equity firm Adams Street Partners and unnamed existing shareholders also participated in the round.

Founded in 2010, Tripping operates a metasearch engine that allows users to find, compare and book short-term accommodation that is listed on third-party platforms such as TripAdvisor and Booking.com. Tripping currently lists approximately 10 million properties.
