Accenture, Boeing, Cisco, Cox, General Electric and Salesforce have exited workplace AR software provider Upskill in a purchase by TeamViewer.

Remote access software provider TeamViewer acquired Upskill, a US-based augmented reality (AR) technology developer backed by corporate investors Accenture, Boeing, Cisco, Cox, General Electric and Salesforce, for an undisclosed amount yesterday.

Founded in 2010 as APX Labs, Upskill provides wearable AR devices including smart glasses, powered by apps through its Skylight platform.

The products help employees in the industrial manufacturing, inspection and audit sectors share information with their peers to boost productivity.
