The cloud company backed by online retailer Amazon and technology company Webroot Software, raises funds in a round led by OpenView Venture Partners.

US-based cloud archiving and search company Sonian, which is backed by online retailer Amazon and technology company Webroot Software, has raised $13.6m.

The series C round was led by venture firm OpenView Venture Partners, with venture firms Summerhill Venture Partners, and Prism VentureWorks participating. Sonian has now raised $27m in its history.

Scott Maxwell, OpenView’s Founder and Senior Managing Director, has joined Sonian’s Board of Directors.
