Employment recommendation platform Jobspotting has been acquired by SmartRecruiters in a deal that gave an exit to Axel Springer.

Media firm Axel Springer has exited Germany-based employment recommendation engine Jobspotting in an acquisition of undisclosed size by headhunting software provider SmartRecruiters on Tuesday.

Founded in 2013, Jobspotting has developed an online platform that uses data science and machine learning to match jobseekers with relevant positions based on their preferences. It is active in 10 countries and has so far matched more than 3 million users with jobs.
