Siemens Venture Capital, the corporate venturing arm of Germany-based conglomerate Siemens, has co-led the initial external investment in Wirescan, a Norway-based company founded in 2005 to inspect power cables.

Siemens Venture Capital, the corporate venturing arm of Germany-based conglomerate Siemens, has co-led the initial external investment in Wirescan, a Norway-based company founded in 2005 to inspect power cables.

Wirescan has raised NKr25m ($3.85m) in funding from Siemens and SåkorninVest II, a company managed by Norway-based venture capital firm Procom Venture.

Gerd Goette, investment partner at Siemens Venture Capital, a unit of Siemens Financial Services, and Jørn Gergeland, partner of Procom Venture, which represents SåkorninVest II, will join Wirescan’s board.
