The Google-backed anonymous message app has now raised more than $36m across three rounds in only seven months.

Google-backed semi-anonymous social network Secret raised $25m in a series B round on Monday.

The round was co-led by venture capital firms Index Ventures and Redpoint Ventures, and also included SV Angel, Fuel Capital, Ceyuan Ventures, Garry Tan and Alexis Ohanian, as well as additional ‘secret’ investors.

Secret operates a platform that allows users to post gossip or admissions anonymously to their network of friends or contacts.
