SAP Ventures joins Aepona funding

German software company joins Canada's Research In Motion as strategic backers to telecoms services company Aepona.

SAP Ventures, the corporate venturing division of Germany-based software company SAP, has joined the third round of funding for Ireland-based Aepona.

BlackBerry Partners Fund, the investment vehicle for Canada-listed smart phone maker Research In Motion, joined Aepona’s $10m series C round last month. The other investors include venture capital firms Amadeus Capital Partners, Polaris Ventures, Nordic Venture Partners and Sutter Hill Ventures, as well as Innovacom, the corporate venturing division of France Telecom.
