SAP has provided an undisclosed amount of funding for food personalisation software provider Vivanda as the two prepare to jointly serve food businesses.

Enterprise software provider SAP invested an undisclosed amount in Vivanda, the US-based developer of an online content personalisation platform for the food and drink industry, yesterday.

Vivanda has built a food and flavour genome mapping system called FlavorPrint that incorporates around 16,000 aroma chemicals, 33 flavours and 17 textures, combining them with nutritional attributes and matching them to ingredients, products and recipes.
