Digital publishing software provider Scribble Technologies has been acquired by Rock Content after raising more than $50m from backers including Rogers and OpenText.

Content-led marketing services provider Rock Content has bought Canada-based digital publishing platform developer Scribble Technologies for an undisclosed amount, enabling corporates OpenText and Rogers Communications to exit.

Founded in 2008, Scribble has created a web-based editorial blogging tool called ScribbleLive that has subsequently extended its reach into digital content-led marketing.

The company has also purchased content marketing production software developers I-on Interactive and Visually, both which will become part of Rock Content post-transaction.
