Data storage business Noobaa, which counts Akamai and OurCrowd among its shareholders, has been acquired by Red Hat.

Open-source software company Red Hat agreed yesterday to acquire Noobaa, a US-based data storage technology developer backed by content delivery network Akamai.

Founded in 2013, Noobaa has developed a platform which enables data to be transferred from one cloud to another and allows users to manage data stored in both private and public infrastructures including AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
