Intel and VMware exited the mobile app development company, which raised a $9m series A round last year.
Software company Red Hat agreed on Thursday to acquire Ireland-based mobile app platform developer FeedHenry in a €63.5m ($81.5m) cash deal that will provide an exit to Intel and VMware.
Founded in 2010 as a spin-out from the Waterford Institute of Technology, FeedHenry runs a platform for developers to create native (Android, iOS, Windows Phone and Blackberry), hybrid, HTML5 or web-based mobile apps.
