Qualcomm Ventures joins New York-listed chipmaker AMD and technology company Citrix Systems backing the "app for PC" software company.

Qualcomm’s corporate venturing unit has backed BlueStacks, an "app for PC" software company with an undisclosed sum.

 Qualcomm is the latest corporate to back BlueStacks, joining New York-listed chipmaker AMD and technology company Citrix Systems, which both last October helped BlueStacks raise $6.4m. This took it to $14m raised during its history.

 BlueStacks’ technology allows users to convert Android apps to use them on Windows computers.
