SCD Probiotics-backed Proklean has secured funding from corporate-backed cleantech firm Infuse Ventures.
India-based biotechnology company Proklean obtained $550,000 from Infuse Ventures, a cleantech venture capital firm backed by oil company BP’s corporate venturing arm BP Ventures, and industrial conglomerate Godrej, Tech in Asia reported on Tuesday.
Founded in 2009, Proklean produces biodegradable products that reduce the need for chemicals in leather and textile processing as well as home cleaning products. Proklean’s technology is based on probiotics, a type of microorganism.
