The healthcare IT technology developer's series B round follows a $4m round in 2013 backed by telecommunications company Rogers Communications.

PokitDok, a US-based healthcare IT company backed by telecommunications firm Rogers Communications, raised $34m in a series B round led by venture capital firm Lemhi Ventures yesterday.

The company has not named any other investors in the round.

PokitDok operates a cloud-based platform that enables software developers to easily integrate healthcare-related tools, such as eligibility checks, claims submissions and payment processing, into their websites, apps and products.

The cash injection will fund marketing efforts, business development and technical support.
