Christie Pitts has departed from Verizon Ventures, where she was a venture development manager, to be partner and chief-of-staff at seed fund Backstage Capital.
Christie Pitts (pictured), has left US-based telecom firm Verizon’s corporate venturing unit, Verizon Ventures, to take a partner and chief of staff role at seed-stage investment fund Backstage Capital.
Pitts has been head of operations at Backstage, which was founded by managing partner Arlan Hamilton to back overachieving, underrepresented startup founders, since October 2016, but will be there full-time from August 1.
