Mitsui, McKesson and existing investors AMN Healthcare jointly provided $9.1m in funding for remote pharmacy management platform PipelineRx.

US-based healthcare IT company PipelineRx raised $9.1m on Tuesday in a round led by Mitsui US, a subsidiary of Japan-based conglomerate Mitsui.

McKesson Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of pharmaceutical company McKesson, and healthcare staffing firm AMN Healthcare also took part in the round.

PipelineRx has created a cloud-based telepharmacy platform that enables hospitals to outsource their pharmacy staffing while also providing round-the-clock access to a pharmacist.
