Accelerator Plug and Play will help Philips locate internet of things startups in which to invest, with lighting technology set to be a priority.

Netherlands-based healthcare and lighting product maker Royal Philips has launched a partnership with US-based accelerator Plug and Play Tech Center to work with internet of things (IoT) technology developers.

Plug and Play will help Philips identify the IoT startups that fit best with its technology needs, which are likely to revolve around sensor data, analytics, and connected lighting technology that can be used in buildings and smart cities.
