Harvard Medical School fellow Anthony Philippakis, who is "passionate about translating the insights from the Human Genome Project into clinical medicine" joins Google's corporate venturing unit
Anthony Philippakis, a fellow of medical genetics at Harvard Medical School, has joined Google Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of the US-based search engine.
Philippakis said: "I joined Google Ventures to help with efforts with the life sciences and big data, many of them related to genomics."
Philippakis is also a fellow in Cardiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and in Medical Genetics at Harvard Medical School. He has published papers on subjects from pure mathematics to personalised medicine.
