Mohamed Siddeek, corporate VP and head at NVentures, is one of the 100 leading corporate venturing professionals in our 2026 Powerlist.

Mohamed “Sid” Siddeek has positioned NVentures as one of the defining corporate venture capital units of the current artificial intelligence cycle, operating not just as a financial backer but as a market-shaping extension of Nvidia’s broader ecosystem strategy. GCV recognised this influence by naming Siddeek to its 2025 Powerlist, highlighting the unit’s emergence as one of the most active CVC investors of 2024 and the expansion of its mandate as AI applications have spread across industries.
Under Siddeek, NVentures’ most notable evolution has been its breadth. What began as a GPU-adjacent investment effort has developed into an investor spanning the AI industrial stack, including legal AI, robotics, physical AI, biotechnology, quantum computing, energy and AI cloud infrastructure. Siddeek’s stated thesis is that AI will ultimately permeate every sector, shaping a strategy that approaches industries sequentially rather than concentrating narrowly.
Recent transactions illustrate this scope. NVentures has participated in Legora’s $50m series D extension, bringing the round to $600m at a $5.6bn post-money valuation, alongside Emerald AI’s $22.7m seed extension and Freeform’s $67m series B. Beyond the venture arm, Nvidia’s broader strategic investment activity includes a $2bn commitment to Nebius, tied to full-stack AI cloud collaboration and large-scale infrastructure buildout.
In aggregate, Nvidia participated in more than 125 venture rounds since the start of 2025 through both its balance sheet and NVentures, deploying substantial capital across artificial intelligence, physical AI and infrastructure. Notable financings include Mistral AI’s €1.7bn series C, Anthropic’s commitment of up to $10bn and Black Forest Labs’ $300m round, as well as Figure AI’s funding exceeding $1bn and Wayve’s $1.05bn raise. Infrastructure investments include Quantinuum’s $600m round.
Exit activity has also been significant, including Generate Biomedicines’ $400m Nasdaq IPO in February 2026 and CoreWeave’s public listing in March 2025. Trade transactions have included acquisitions involving portfolio companies such as Pliops and Replicate, alongside Nvidia-led purchases of Enfabrica and CentML.
The central tension for NVentures mirrors Nvidia’s own market position. Its strength lies in identifying and catalysing demand formation early, yet it must avoid perceptions of acting as a closed loop that finances future Nvidia customers. This places emphasis on governance, independence and demonstrating portfolio traction beyond Nvidia’s ecosystem.
Siddeek’s background underpins this approach. He first joined Nvidia in the early 2000s before returning in 2021 after roles at SoftBank’s Vision Fund and Mubadala. His investment philosophy places weight on team quality, technical robustness and the long-term durability of platforms, reflecting NVentures’ ambition to back category-defining companies rather than short-term opportunities.
