Louise Warme, head at We Venture Capital, is one of the 100 leading corporate venturing professionals in our 2026 Powerlist.

In a sector where most corporate VC units chase breadth, medical equipment manufacturer Werfen’s We Venture Capital, led by Louise Warme, has chosen discipline.
Launched in 2023 by Warme and Anthony Vallance-Owen, and joined by fellow principal Gemma Sturt a year later, the CVC acts as the diagnostics group’s window into frontier innovation.
We Venture Capital launched with two startups in its portfolio: DeepUll, a blood sepsis diagnostics company, and Axithra, a technology platform for therapeutic drug monitoring. Warme sits on the boards of both companies as well as one from a more recent deal, Capitainer. She was also an observer on Zetta Genomics, a company specialising in genomic data management, until its sale to TriNetX earlier this year.
Some of We Venture Capital’s more recent deals include co-leading an $11.6m series A round for Respiree, a Singapore-based AI-powered monitoring platform for patient care.
We Venture Capital is an evergreen fund that invests between €1m and €3m in companies at the series A stage. The team will also consider seed and later-stage investments.
It aims to have between 15 and 20 companies in its portfolio over time, with the goal of making between one and four investments a year.
In the wider corporate venturing landscape, We Venture Capital matters because it represents a new generation of specialist funds. Instead of acting as financial investors with optional strategic upside, it is embedding itself in the clinical and data infrastructure of healthcare’s future. That positioning, at the intersection of biology, data and workflow, could prove decisive as diagnostics becomes central to precision medicine.
Warme’s challenge now is scale: turning early validation into repeatable outcomes. Fortunately, as a doctor, serial entrepreneur and 12 years as an investor, Warme has the range of experience to guide her and the team.

The GCV Powerlist represents the 100 individuals spearheading the future of the corporate venturing industry.
