Blair Tritt, vice-president, corporate ventures and digital labs at Schreiber Foods, is one of the 100 leading corporate venturing professionals in our 2026 Powerlist.

Blair Tritt has emerged as one of the key architects of Schreiber Foods’ push into corporate venturing and digital innovation. As vice-president of corporate ventures and digital labs, he leads Schreiber Ventures, the investment and partnership arm of the US-headquartered dairy and food manufacturer, while also overseeing efforts to commercialise digital capabilities through Schreiber Digital Labs.
A nearly two-decade veteran of Schreiber Foods, Tritt held roles across supply chain, procurement, commercial operations and business development before proposing the creation of a dedicated venture function. That broad operational background has given him a deep understanding of where emerging technologies can create value inside a complex global food business.
Tritt was instrumental in establishing Schreiber Ventures, building its strategy, governance structure and investment committee and aligning senior leadership around a corporate venture mandate.
Founded in 2023, Schreiber Ventures was designed around three pillars: direct investment, strategic partnerships and venture clienting. The model reflects Schreiber’s desire not only to invest in promising startups but also to act as a customer, collaborator and commercialisation partner. The unit sits within a business that generates more than $7bn in annual sales and serves hundreds of retailers, restaurants and food manufacturers worldwide.
Schreiber Ventures focuses on technologies that can strengthen food manufacturing, supply chains, sustainability and digital transformation. In its early stages, the team made indirect investments through venture capital funds aligned with Schreiber’s strategic priorities before progressing towards direct startup investments.
Among the fund’s most visible recent transactions was its investment in Sojo Industries, a US-based packaging and supply-chain technology company. Announced in 2024, the investment was driven by Schreiber’s need for more agile multipack and variety-pack solutions. The partnership illustrates Tritt’s emphasis on solving specific business challenges through external innovation rather than investing for financial returns alone.
Alongside the venture programme, Tritt oversees Schreiber Digital Labs, which develops and commercialises software and digital tools originally created within Schreiber Foods. The unit works closely with startups and venture partners, extending the company’s innovation ecosystem beyond traditional food sector boundaries.
As corporate VC activity expands across the food industry, Tritt is positioning Schreiber as a pragmatic strategic investor. His focus remains on connecting entrepreneurs with the scale, manufacturing expertise and commercial reach of one of the world’s largest dairy companies, while ensuring that innovation delivers measurable value back to the core business.
