The "PayPal Japan" joint venture is expected to be led by Japan-based technology company Softbank's Hiroaki Kitano.
US-based electronic payments company Paypal and Japan-based technology company Softbank have formed a JPY2bn ($25m) joint venture company "PayPal Japan".
PayPal and Softbank will each designate three directors of the joint venture for a total of six directors. Hiroaki Kitano, a senior vice president of Softbank Mobile Corp., is expected to be chief executive.
