The mobile advertising technology company has now raised more than $38m across three rounds, after closing a $12m round backed by NTT Docomo.

SessionM, a US-based provider of mobile loyalty and advertising technology, raised $12m in a series C round featuring NTT Docomo Capital, the corporate venturing arm of mobile network NTT Docomo, on Tuesday.

Growth equity firm Causeway Media Partners led the round, which also included Commerce Ventures, Highland Capital Partners, Charles River Ventures (CRV) and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB).
