Motorola Solutions Venture Capital has committed capital to a series A round that will help Neurala further improve its deep learning networks platform.

US-based deep learning technology developer Neurala raised $14m in series A funding on Wednesday from investors including communications equipment manufacturer Motorola Solutions’ corporate venturing subsidiary, Motorola Solutions Venture Capital.

Ecomobility Ventures, the venture capital vehicle co-founded by oil company Total, telecommunications network Orange, carmaker Peugeot and rail operator SNCF, also contributed to the round in partnership with private equity firm Idinvest Partners’ Electranova Capital II Fund.
