Telkom Indonesia and Go-Jek have thrown their weight behind Mobile Premier League’s latest funding round that will allow the esports platform to expand outside of India.
India-based esports platform developer Mobile Premier League (MPL) has collected $90m in a funding round featuring telecommunications firm Telkom Indonesia and ride hailing service Go-Jek, TechCrunch reported yesterday.
SIG, RTP Global, Sequoia India and Base Partners also took part in the round, in which Telkom Indonesia and Go-Jek participated through respective corporate venture capital units MDI Ventures and Go-Ventures.
The round valued MPL at $375m to $400m pre-money, a person privy to the development told TechCrunch.
