Mitsui Global Investment makes a strategic investment into US-based Kaminario, a provider of high performance all solid-state (SSD) SAN storage solutions, which brings the total raised by the company to $70m.
Mitsui Global Investment the corporate venturing unit for Japan-based conglomerate Mitsui, has made a strategic investment into Kaminario, a provider of SSD in high performance SAN storage. Kaminario recently closed a $25m Series D round led by venture capital firm Tenaya Capital and private equity and venture capital firm Sequoia Capital Growth Equity. There was also involvement from current investors Globespan Capital Partners and Pitango Venture Capital.
The new funds will be used to support Kaminario’s expansion into new markets.
