The accelerator, run in conjunction with Jerusalem Venture Partners, will admit between six and eight cybersecurity startups, with a $1m investment set to go to one.

Microsoft Ventures, the corporate venturing unit owned by computing company Microsoft, has launched a cybersecurity accelerator in Israel, according to online technology news source TechWorld.

The accelerator is being undertaken in partnership with Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP), a local venture capital fund which has been one of the country’s leading investors in cybersecurity startups, and will aim to help startups in the sector develop products that can defend against the leading cyber threats.
