SoftBank and Tal Education both contributed capital to the educational game producer's $4m series A round, which will support expansion in Asia.
US-based educational game developer LocoMotive Labs raised $4m yesterday in a series A round co-led by telecommunications company SoftBank, and educational services provider Tal Education Group.
The round also featured venture capital fund K9 Ventures, Kapor Capital, Kapor Center for Social Impact’s ventures capital arm, NewSchools Venture Fund, VC firm D3Jubilee, Joe Gleberman and Jerry Colonna.
SoftBank invested through its Korea-based corporate venturing unit, SoftBank Ventures Korea.
