Intel is acquiring Voke, a developer of virtual reality viewing technology for sports events, months after leading a $12.6m round for the company.

US-based virtual reality (VR) technology developer Voke has been acquired by semiconductor producer Intel for an undisclosed sum, providing an exit to the corporate’s investment arm, Intel Capital.

The transaction also provided an exit to television network A&E, NBA basketball team Sacramento Kings and venture capital firm Nautilus Ventures.
