Intel Capital participates in a $22m Series E round into US-based fingerprint sensor company Validity Sensors, which is backed by Qualcomm Ventures.

Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit of US-listed chip maker Intel, has invested in a $22m Series E round for Validity Sensors, a manufacturer of fingerprint sensors.

The round also saw involvement from World Fair and DDS. This latest stage of financing follows an initial closing in October which was led by TeleSoft Partners and included full participation from Qualcomm Ventures, the corporate venturing division of US-based semiconductor company Qualcomm, VentureTech Alliance, the venture capital arm of TSMC, Panorama…
