Intel Capital unveils its latest deals in front of a record 1100 attendees at its annual summit. The deals were announced by Intel Capital CEO Arvind Sodhani, who had earlier in the day show-cased Intel Capital portfolio company's Recon Instruments's wearable technology [pictured].

Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit of US-based chipmaker Intel, said today it has made 16 investments worth $65m spanning nine countries, Singapore-based cloud consultancy Cloudfx, Japan and USA-based cloud storage software provider Cloudian, CSDN and 13 more.

Other companies backed were  USA-based 3-D software developer Dot Product, Japan-based cloud file service Fileforce, Israel-based interactive video platform Interlude, Taiwan-based high-speed connectivity products company Lintes, France and USA-based mobile news syndicator Mobiles Republic, Singapore and India-based business continuity and disaster recovery platform PerpetuuITi, USA-based visual merchandising and analytics solutions company Prism Skylabs, Israel-based hybrid storage provider Reduxio, Israel-based chip simulation acceleration Rocketick, India-based car rental compan Savaari, USA-based semiconductor materials developer SBA Materials, Finland-based open source database solutions SkySQL and wireless electricity developer Witricity. 

The investments were unveiled  as Intel Capital hosted a record 1100 attendees at its annual summit. The deals were announced by Intel Capital CEO Arvind Sodhani, who had earlier in the day show-cased Intel Capital portfolio company’s Recon Instruments’s wearable technology.
