Insight Robotics fires its way to SmartCamp victory

The forest fire detection company overcame competition from hundreds of 2014 participants at IBM's SmartCamp to win Entrepreneur of the Year.

China-based technology company Insight Robotics has been awarded the top prize at the Entrepreneur of the Year at the IBM SmartCamp Global Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday.

Founded in 2009, Insight Robotics uses thermal imaging sensors and vision technology to detect forest fires. It was one of nine finalists selected from hundreds of startups that participated in IBM SmartCamp events around the world in 2014.
