The CIA's quasi-corporate venturing unit, In-Q-Tel, has participated in a $65m Series E round for software firm Cloudera.
In-Q-Tel, the corporate venturing style unit of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), has participated in an E round of funding for Silicon Valley-based Cloudera. Cloudera raised $65m in its fifth round of venture capital funding, bringing the total funds raised by the company to $140m. Return backers included venture capital firm Accel Partners, which invested $5m in 2009, and led the round with participation from venture capital firms Greylock Partners, Ignition Partners and private equity firm Meritech Capital Partners.
