The Global Industry 4.0 Council is in development this year and will look to tackle the theme of sustainability.

Startups and corporations tackle carbon emissions from the cement industry, according to the Financial Times.
After decades of work and some notable flameouts, recent deals in the past year include US-based Solidia Technologies, which completed a $78m funding round featuring BP Ventures, LafargeHolcim, BASF Venture Capital, Carbon Neutrality Ventures and Air Liquide’s Aliad; Canada-based CarbonCure Technologies, which raised an undisclosed amount from Amazon’s Climate Pledge Fund, Microsoft and 2150; Ireland-based Ecocem raising €22.5m from Breakthrough Energy Ventures; and UCLA spinout CarbonBuilt that won a $7.5m XPrize competition sponsored by NRG Energy and Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance.
The issue of sustainability is leaping up the industrial sector’s agenda and following our GCV report in CCUS earlier this year we will be developing the Global Industry 4.0 Council for CVCs to tackle the theme in more depth H/T Jonathan SchalliolAnil Achyuta and the others who discussed at the last GCV Digital Forum. Please reach for more information on this council development.
