Huajiao Live Video, a mobile livestreaming app incubated by Qihoo 360, has received $14m from Tian Ge Interactive as part of a strategic partnership.

Livestreaming platform operator Tian Ge Interactive has invested $14m in China-based livestreaming app developer Huajiao Live Video, China Money Network reported yesterday.

Founded in 2015 and incubated by Internet company Qihoo 360, Huajiao operates what was China’s most popular entertainment livestreaming app in the first half of 2016, according to iResearch.

Qihoo 360 invested $9m in Huajiao in September 2016 as part of a $45m series A round led by Chinese state-owned Zhongshoujian. Tian Ge made its investment as part of a two-year strategic partnership that will involve the companies partnering on operations, marketing, research and development.
