Secret, creators of an iOS App that allows users to share their thoughts and feelings anonymously, has raised $10m in funding led by Google Ventures.

US-based Secret was co-founded by David Byttow and Chrys Bader-Wechseler, who have worked for Square and Google respectively. The funding was led by Google Ventures, with participants from Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers.

The $10m financing leaves Secret with a post-money valuation of $50m. This funding includes the $1.43m gathered in their seed round in December 2013.

The app’s highest ranking was on February 7th, when it reached 16th most popular social network in the app store.
