Highfive.com, a US-based technology startup which is developing a business communication tool, has raised $13.5m series A funding led by venture capital firm General Catalyst, with participation from venture capital firm and Andreessen Horowitz and Google Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of internet search firm Google.

The series A round is reported to have included the conversion of an earlier $4m seed funding round.  Highfive, which is in stealth mode, describes itself as “reimagining the way people communicate at work.”
