Ericsson will exit big data software producer Cask, which has agreed to an acquisition of undisclosed size by Google.

Cask Data, a US-based big data software developer backed by networking and telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson, has agreed to an acquisition by internet technology provider Google.

Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Cask Data will be absorbed into Google’s cloud computing services division, Google Cloud.

Cask has created a software platform called Cask Data Application Platform (CDAP) that enables enterprise clients to develop and run big data applications.
