Intel Capital returned for a $100m series C round raised by online food retailer Goldbelly, having previously taken part in a $20m series B two and a half years ago.

Goldbelly, the US-based operator of a specialty food retail platform, pocketed $100m in a series C round backed by chipmaker Intel’s corporate venture capital unit Intel Capital yesterday.

Growth equity firm Spectrum Equity led the funding round.

Goldbelly runs a curated, online food store with products sourced from regional, small-batch producers, and well-known chefs such as restaurateur and television personality David Chang, across the US. The platform lists more than 10,000 items.
