Online language program Best Teacher has raised $530,000 in a round of funding from GMO Venture Partners and SMBC Venture Capital.
The venture capital arm of GMO Internet Group company and SMBC Venture Capital, a venture capital unit of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, has invested in a ¥51.1m ($530,000) round of funding for Japan-based Best Teacher.
Best Teacher provides online language learning services and received a seed investment from CyberAgent Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of the eponymous local games group, in January last year.
