Probiotic food producer Farmhouse Culture has raised $6.5m in a series D round led by General Mills subsidiary 301.

301, the strategic investment arm of packaged food manufacturer General Mills, has led a $6.5m series D round for US-based probiotic-rich food and beverage producer Farmhouse Culture.

The round also featured existing investors including White Road Investments and Renewal Funds. Farmhouse Culture has now raised $11.5m in total financing, according to regulatory filings.

Founded in 2008, Farmhouse Culture oversees a range of gut-healthy foods including sauerkraut-based snacks, probiotic drinks and fermented vegetables.
