The sales software provider has now raised more than $100m altogether, after securing capital in a series D round featuring Salesforce's corporate venturing unit.

US-based sales analytics software provider Gainsight closed a $50m series D round yesterday that included Salesforce.com’s corporate venturing unit, Salesforce Ventures.

Private equity and venture capital firm Insight Venture Partners led the round, which also included Battery Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Summit Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
