Liberty Global and You on Demand have backed cloud-based video service provider Frequency to support its global expansion.

US-based internet video service Frequency yesterday closed an $11m series B round that included media and telecoms firm Liberty Global and You On Demand (YOD), a pay-per-view and video-on-demand service provider.

Liberty Global participated through its corporate venturing subsidiary Liberty Global Ventures. Family office Oakmont Corporation also took part in the round.
