Fablic, the maker of flea market app Fril, has raised $9.2m from investors including online recipe provider Cookpad and game developer Colopl.

Fablic, the Japan-based developer of  flea market app Fril, has received ¥1bn ($9.2m) in funding from online recipe site Cookpad, gaming company Colopl and private equity investor Jafco, according to Nikkei.

Fril users can verify their identity on the app through Facebook, and can then upload photos, and buy and sell clothing items at fixed prices. The capital will be used to hire new staff and increase the company’s advertising on television.
