ING Ventures has made a lead investment in FinCompare as part of a series A round that also attracted existing investor Uniqa Ventures.

Germany-based financing platform FinCompare raised €10m ($11.7m) in a series A round yesterday led by ING Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of financial services firm ING.

Uniqa Ventures, the investment arm of insurance provider Uniqa, and Speedinvest also contributed funding.

FinCompare operates an online lending marketplace that enables startups and SMES to secure financing from more than 200 financial services partners, including commercial and development banks.
