Samsung and John Hancock/Manulife Financial were among the new investors that took part in the medical image platform's latest round.
Canada-based medical image database Figure 1 has closed a $10m series B round featuring Samsung Next, a subsidiary of electronics producer Samsung, and insurance firm John Hancock/Manulife Financial.
Kensington Capital Partners led the round, which included fellow investment firm Hedgewood and venture capital firms Western Technology Investment, Union Square Ventures, Version One Ventures and Rho Canada Ventures.
