The energy-processing technology provider has raised $12.5m in a round led by newly minted strategic partner Synaptics.

Human interface technology provider Synaptics led a $12.5m series C round for US-based power processing chip developer Eta Compute yesterday, participating alongside undisclosed existing investors.

Eta Compute has developed artificial intelligence-based processing technology that enables internet-of-things devices to use battery energy more efficiently across years of operation.

Synaptics’ chief strategy officer, Satish Ganesan, will join Eta Compute’s board of directors in connection with the round, closed alongside a co-development and co-marketing partnership between them.
