The Japan-based recruiter will enter the Indian market through the purchase of a 60% stake, which it plans to turn into a full acquisition by 2016.

EN-Japan, a Japan-based online recruitment firm, resolved on Thursday to acquire a 60% stake in India-based recruitment agency New Era for Rs 345m ($5.8m).

EN-Japan is investing in New Era as part of an overall strategy to expand globally, and cited India’s high population, relatively young age and 5% GDP growth rate as incentives to target an Indian company.
