Elasticsearch, a Netherlands-based developer of big data search and analytics technology, has raised $10m in its series A round from a consortium including non-profit search provider Data Collective.
Venture capital firm Benchmark Capital led the A round, with the other investor as Rod Johnson, the creator of Spring and co-founder of SpringSource.
Johnson had co-founded SpringSource with Steven Schuurman before its sale to trade peer VMWare in 2009. Schuurman is co-founder with Shay Banon of Elasticsearch.
